Hi there,

I just started using sup. Following this tutorial:


I get 2 problems:
1- the voronoi texture doesn't show up on my viewer ( see pict)


Capture_no Voronoi.jpg  2- the broken chunks of geo have the normals screwed ( see pict).

Any ideas?

This one slipped through. Sorry. Let me take a look. But i bet it is connected to PE mode.
Try switching to DG evaluation and see if that fixes it on your end.

Tried this in Maya 2017 (latest update) - seems to be working fine, but the texture didn't show up in the viewport.
Will try tomorrow in 2019 and will take a look at the texture problem.

Yes it actually fragments, it is just doesn't show the texture which makes it hard to see the scale of the chunks, About your suggestion where are the PE and DG evaluation modes to be found?

on a related note, please can you let me know which channel connects  the Scatter node to the Shatter node? I am trying to do it manually. but don't know which channel to use to connect them manually.

I am having the issue that if I have the Scatter node selected ( to create the Shatter node) and I create it, the Shatter node is not created connected to the Scatter, but it appears floating....

You can check the example scenes to see how things connected.
Also, if you select a poly object in the scene and then use the SOuP menu to create a shatter node - it will automatically connect everything for you. Just inspect that graph.

Implementing support for the 3D texture for VP2 will take a moment longer. Will try to do it for the next release.

 By creating the shatter it actually plugs all in well. Thank you, how ever when I thick the auto evaluate Maya 2018 crashes. 

I have tried to open the sample scenes but they also crash Maya 2018.... You think there maybe  an issue of compatibility of SOuP with Maya2018? (bugs ?)

I am attaching the Maya2018 crash log and see if ti helps identify the issue, thanks!

The log you provided does not say much.
I know people use this successfully out there.
Anyone else reading this thread and experiencing this issue ?

I tried all couple of different configurations between PE/DG evaluation, OpenGL profiles, etc. - everything checked out fine.

What are your Computer specs ?
