Openvdb archive versions missing from tools page
There used to be a a few be_openvdb hosted on the tools page made by Evgeny Grebennikov. Latest being Maya 2017 but there was also a 2016 and 2016.5 version.

Openvdb archive versions missing from tools page
I noticed that the older soup archive versions are available but the openvdb archive versions are no longer on the front page. Just wondering if this was an accident during the webpage update. A link to older archived openvdb.versions would be great. Thanks.

Will you be updating this to work with the new Maya OpenGL core instead of Opengl legacy? Autodesk has been adding features which only work in opengl core lately which are nice like interactive opensubdiv viewport displacements and stuff but currently your openvdb nodes only work in the older opengl legacy mode. Just wondering if you were planning it in the future. Thanks for the awesome work!

I think i have this figured out, but thanks for the reference.

Sounds good! I look forward to both a physics based asset painting tool and a revamped ray cast painting tool to replace sppaint. Maya has been due for a nice brush based scatter system like the tools found in clarisse, unreal engine etc. Would be great if it used the maya brush tool with fall offs etc. With B mapped for the radius, M the strength, ctrl+click to erase and maybe shift click to just adjust transforms like rotation/scale without adding or removing the objects already in place. This type of stuff would be very powerful and go hand in hand with the current sculpt tools etc.

I like how paintfx works with collisions etc but wish it was able to accept any kind of input object from poly models, grouped models, points or even maya references. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Thanks!

I coded a contour deformer yesterday that i feel pretty good about and was about to try rbd brush, but if this new development hit the mark i won't bother. Keep me updated if you don't mind.
It all comes down to the workflow in this case.
The author of the max script just nailed it down.

To be honest it might be quiet a ways away from release since the guy is busy. If you can develop a similar tool built right into SouP i think it will be great for all its users and a great companion to the feature rich Instance Manager. I think something like this + a raycast based instance brush system similar to the aging spPaint3d in combo with a simple to use but powerful UI like instaman will be a great addition to Soup for environment artists like myself.
