I Just took a brief tour of tool instance manager, Its really Awesome. Thanks a ton for making this.
Only issue I faced is scale randomization is giving strange results. In case I put any value in random scale, some instances starts facing towards downside of the emitter surface. :( I am attaching images for more clarification.
Regarding my topic :
Actually I was particularly looking for applying individual scale masks (procedural texture / file node) for each instanced ID. So even if my instances are in different scale ratio I can have a scale control for individual one. If I am not wrong in instance manager we do have option to paint vertex color as scale mask for individual ID, but we can not use texture node there instead of painting. Which cold be helpful for large scale distribution.
So... for now to fulfill this requirement I have to go with my setup, but I am stuck with the connection, where I can pipe multiple scale maps in point node to use them for each instanced ID.
Another point is more like suggestion......Right now I am using three different types of distribution mode in my setup one is points on mesh vertex second is gradually on each face and the third one is randomly on surface. for the first two options I am using mesh2arry node and scatter node is for the random on surface mode. with these options I am getting different results like corn field, Grass field & scattered trees etc.
If we can add above mentioned points in instance manager then I am sure It will be helpful for all..... What do u say?
