@sepu
The licenses will work with all new/old SOuP releases.
You will never be locked to particular version of the plugins.

@ZC
Try again. Should be fine.

We are using the LAN, it can not be connected to the Internet. Do not know if I can use a license without a network?
If I use soup on other computers. Can I transfer my license?

You can use a license without Internet access.

If you have a floating license you can use it on any computer within the network.
If you have a nodelocked license you can use it only on the computer it was issued for.

I intend to purchase an independent license for six months. But I do not know if I can use the Chinese bank card to pay. I will try. :)
Ask peter again.
Can I purchase a separate license to use it on a computer without a network?

If the computer is not connected to the local area network the easiest solution is to use nodelocked license.
This is a single ASCII text file with extension .lic that you put in /home/$ME/maya/
The license will work only on this workstation.
That's it.

I see that you are not familiar with the licensing schemes out there.
Feel free to ask as many questions here until you are sure you which license you need.
Or better - if you want - describe your situation, condition, needs - and i will try to recommend the right license type.

If you have a sysadmins over there - ask them about that stuff - they will be able to explain it to you too.

Paypal is owned by eBay and eBay does a lot of business internationally - especially with Chinese manufacturers of goods. I am pretty positive you can use the service successfully.

Had no idea you guys were going commercial, but super psyched, can't wait to throw money on you, seriously!

Also, if you want I'd be happy to make videos with VO if you're not comfortable making that, personally I find it hard to follow along when there's only text.

Have you thought about doing freelance version and studio or bussines version like other small plugins? For me as a freelancer it is impossible to spend that money every month to also have nothing at the end and I also spend the tool so assiduously to invest that money ... I am sure that you are going to be well but I think you have not thought of all user profiles ... unfortunately I'll have to stop using soup, even for experiments.

I have some suggestions for the later soup tutorial.
1, if there is a sound of the tutorial, I hope it is a subtitle. So that we can use youtube's automatic translation function can be translated into any language, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean and so on.
2, after the film can refer to some of the lens out of some of the more advanced tutorials.
For the basics of the tutorial, I think, soup's website's Examples page plus the soup's help documentation. It should be enough. Later, you can get some more advanced tutorials.
You can refer to the current release of the film some of the lens to use soup node to achieve the production process.
Up to now, soup official tutorials, or third party tutorials, are hard to find practical tutorials for soup.
Which is closer to the reality of the production of the lens of the tutorial. I hope that the future can be more realistic lens production tutorial.
3, soup of the forum can be a high-level case for a separate version of the tutorial.
So that we can in the forum for a high-level case of the tutorial for a separate discussion, learning and so on.
We can also publish our own case tutorials in the tutorial section of the forum. Share it for everyone to learn at the same time.

For some advanced tutorial posts, you can set certain permissions.
Only users who have purchased soup, or who have a license, can watch it and can participate in the discussion.

thank peter!!

Tutorials will initially focus on the new tools that get released with the latest SOuP builds. Then Ill be working on some of the older ones that have a wider appeal, all will be based around the scene files provided by Peter. I guess you could call this basic level SOuP which will explore the nodes input/outputs. At a later stage I am happy to cover some more advanced uses of SOuP in SpecialFX since that is my specialty. People are more than welcome to provide their own repository of SOuP tutorials, as long as they are clear and useful, we can link them on the examples page.

Ill be creating a channel on Youtube for the tutorials, Im not sure how many options there are regarding subtitles for other languages. If you have any ideas on this let me know as we dont want to exclude anybody if we can help it.

Yes, there will be non-commercial version of the plugins.
I am sure we can strike a nice balance there.
But one thing at a time.
