Are you using this in a studio environment ?
Try to start vanilla Maya, unload all plugins, load SOuP, try to reconstruct geometry. Is this still crashing ?
Just trying to troubleshoot remotely here :)

Hi Peter, thanks for the help so far. Unfortunately that didn't help, even with a clean reinstall of Maya and only loading in Soup it still crashes. I also tried in 2017 and no luck there, maybe its an OS thing? Has anyone else had issues with Windows 10?

Thanks for the feedback Peter, Could you kindly send me a link to the previous version of soup as the triangulated result of that reconstruct is exactly the effect I'm looking for...
best,
Richard

I do not have the bandwidth to do custom builds right now.
You can still get the triangulated result with the latest version.
There is a "conform" option in the reconstruct section.

Made new build on Windows10 with latest compilers and libraries.
Please give it a try and let me know if if something is still off.
If all is good i will release it officially.
There is also a fix included for vertexConstraint bug that causes rotations to go out of whack.

Works fine.
Is it crashing every time, regardless the geometry ?

Anyone else having this issue ?

Hi Peter,

For me even on Windows 7 and Maya 2016, using simple objects it crashes every time I change the mode to "reconstruct"

I tried this on few different computers with win7, win8.1, win10 and Maya2016.
Couldn't get it to crash. Sigh.

Anyone else having this issue ?

Yep this is weird. Just used a simple polysphere... every other modes works correctly but as soon as I change to "reconstruct" it crashes Maya.

And I need to use it on Windows 7 for now since openVDB from besha doesn't work on Windows 10 (my goal is to remesh a vdb mesh)
