Awesome update, Will be playing around with it :) But I guess I will still have to wait for the miArrayToTexture2D node :(

I'll take a look at the multiCurve example again but I definitely remember it being quite responsive here.

@noizeFactory - try this and tell me what the result is:
open maya, load soup, open the slidersManager window, create new root then create new slider.

@aikiman - You just open the scene and it hangs, or you are trying to "rig" things manually ?

Peter, it just hangs when I open your example file and press play, gets to frame 5 and then locks up.

It creates a new Maya asset with the name I supplied for root. The asset contains camera, displayAttributes and a sliderBar node. However, as soon as I created it my viewport started acting fuzzy and I get artifacts and refresh issues in the viewport. The whole slidersManager window also kind of locks up and doesn't refresh properly. And when I create a new empty scene the problem is solved. But it leaves behind a SLIDERSMANAGERviewSelectedSet which I'm not able to delete even in a new empty file.

This is with Maya 2012 SAP SP1 btw.

Does this have to do anything with pyQt?

I checked this morning and i confirm the problem.
No, this is not a pyQT problem. It seems that Maya has few extra UI bugs on Windows. Not sure if that is QT, OpenGL or something else, but i had to perform some extra tricks to work around it. Apparently more work is needed, or i screwed up something in the very last minute.

Thats alright Peter. There are enough updates to keep us all busy for a while (I just wish the scatter node relax thing made it to this release) :-)

Ok, after careful investigation i confirm that the slidersManager will not work properly on Windows Maya. I don't know which part exactly is busted, but if i use the standard example provided in the docs for modelEditor - everything works fine, but if i use parent layout it stops refreshing it. Will keep looking into that - maybe there is a "random" magic configuration that awaits to be discovered as a workaround.

What worries me more is that you are getting crash when trying to create displayDriver node as shape under xform.
Is this still the case ?
When you open the displayDriver windows what the "icons config file" line says ?
Thanks.

Sorry Peter, I just got caught up in some stuff and forgot to do the test that you asked me to. I'll do that first thing tomorrow and report back here. Btw, I'm trying to get more people in the studio to adopt soup in their workflow and especially the riggers. Hopefully we will have them joining the forums too :)
