New SOuP build (2011/05/29):
- added "keep voxels square" to the bound node.
- added "keep history" options to the rayProject node to simplify the nodal networks required when creating permanent collision deformations.
- fixed bug in the upresFluid node that led to crash at creation time if the fluid.falloff method is set to "static".

The SOuP example scenes archive now includes all the files that have been added recently as standalone downloads, plus several new ones.

New pyExpression version (2011/05/29):
- proper handling of some exceptions and some special cases in the mesh data extraction code.
- updated AE template.
- added new example scene - voxelizing of geometry with transform nodes.

Updated examples page:

concave deformations

sparse convex wrap

video 2

permanent collision deformations
(i posted this one couple of days ago on the forums, but now it is officially online) examples page)

Hey Peter,

This isn't going to be alot of help, unless others are experiencing it as well, but I can't load the rayProject_Collisions_with_History file. It just crashes with no info.
Anyone else?

Yeah. Figured you would have noticed this. I wonder if it's another wonderful Windows 7 surprise. Just dl'ed the hotfix 2 and got the same behavior. I'll try it with another system tomorrow.

Thanks for checking this out Peter... the checks in the mail :)

I didn't try that scene in Windows, only Linux.
Will report soon ...

Just tried with WinXP-x64 Maya2011-x64 latest SOuP build - everything works as expected.
Sounds like something on your end.

Hey peter...not sure if I'm being retarded but I really can't get the pyExpression to load.

Getting message

// Error: ImportError: No module named pyExpressionCore //

and if I try to include the pyExpressionCore to the script dir I get a "bad magic number" message. Tried setting my PYTHONPATH and add .pyc to the python dir but I'm really not sure what I'm doing. Would just really like to have a play :)

Ugh, i included the .pyc file but not the .py one. That's why.
Updated the pyExpression archive. Download and try again.

Hi!
Scenes, with examples for pyExpression, opens with errors. In .ma file I have found the strange flag "-ch" for a command setAttr. I deleted all records with "-ch" and scenes began to open without errors. What a strange flag?

MAYA 2012 hot fix 2 x64 for Windows...

I save scene in .ma with single poly box without history.

Code in my scene file
.....
setAttr -s 6 ".fc[0:5]" -type "polyFaces"
....

in example scenes from you

......
setAttr -s 6 -ch 24 ".fc[0:5]" -type "polyFaces"
.....

in help no info about "-ch" flag for setAttr command...
any comments?
