is there a way to trigger the compute()  in an MPxEmitterNode besides
hooking it up to  a  particle object? 

I have tried  what I use on the MPxLocator node, and  connect time to  it
and  do an attributeAffects   link but  no dice..

I'd like to be  able to  force a redraw/update of the openGL  whenever some attributes are changed.

any ideas?
